Description
Every bark piece is a boundary — the threshold between what the tree shows the world and what it keeps within. In this piece, that boundary becomes sculptural language.
The undulations of the Itaúba bark record years of growth and resistance, now translated into form. Brass accentuates the crests and valleys of the surface, while the braided cotton thread creates a delicate web suggesting continuity — the permanence of what seemed destined for discard.
Provenance
Itaúba bark piece reclaimed from sustainable forest management in Mato Grosso.
